Naxos Island is one of the most beautiful in Greece with fabulous beaches, picturesque villages, perfect landscape and life style. It is only 3.5 hours away from Athens with speedboat, while it has very frequent connections with the nearby islands.

Naxos Town (or Hora), the capital of the island is a picturesque town with Cycladic touch, built around (and in) the Venetian Castle. The castle was built by the Venetian Marco Sanoudo, who captured the island's chief Byzantine castle, T'Apalirou and declared himself Duke Naxos Island (in 1207).

Saint George Beach is the place to stay when in Naxos Island. It is only 200 metres from the Town Center of Naxos Town and it is an excellent resort. The beach is 800 metres with fine sand, shallow waters and trees for shadow. It is very well organised with water sport facilities, umbrellas, beach bars and restaurants. Evenings and nights are very idyllic and you can enjoy your meal or your drink right next to the beach under the moonlight.
